Paid Parental Leave

Pepper paid Parental Leave is available to permanent employees who have been employed for a continuous period of at least twelve (12) months at the time of taking the leave.

Maternity Leave

  • 12 weeks paid either as normal pay or ½ pay over 24 weeks
  • 5 days pre-natal leave (to attend appointments, etc)

Paternity Leave

  • 8 hours pre-natal leave (to attend appointments)
  • Up to 2 weeks paid leave at time of birth. One week is paid for by the Company and the second week may be used from sick leave entitlement

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential counselling service made available to all Pepper employees through a group called IPS Worldwide. This program allows employees a confidential avenue to discuss personal or work related issues and is also available to their immediate families. Individuals can access expert telephone assistance 24/7 or face-to-face assistance "off-site" by appointment in IPS offices.

Health and Wellbeing

Pepper encourages staff to maintain a healthy lifestyle that includes a balanced diet and physical fitness.

In support of the wellbeing of our employees, Pepper offer a free corporate gym membership with Jett’s Fitness in Berry Street North Sydney, which is open 24 hours a day for convenience.

Pepper also offer a fresh fruit service (Fruit at Work) to make it easier for staff to make healthy food choices at work.

Service Awards

To recognise length of service and loyalty to Pepper Homeloans, an award for all employees who have reached 5 and 10 years service with Pepper Homeloans during the calendar year will be presented in December to all employees.

Employee Referral Program

Pepper encourages and supports internal recommendations when recruiting for vacancies within the business. An employee who refers another potential employee into the business will receive:

Stage 1 – a placement reward of $150 cash or gift voucher for each successful referral.

Stage 2 – a further $350 cash or gift voucher if the new hire remains (and performs) with the company after the full 3 month probation period.

Quarterly Recognition Program

The Pepper Reward & Recognition Program is to show our appreciation of employees whose outstanding work practices or achievements have had a significant positive outcome to Pepper and also demonstrate commitment to our Corporate Values.

Winners receive a $500 gift voucher presented by the CEO at the quarterly staff update sessions – an opportunity to celebrate ideas and innovation.

Annual Flu Vaccinations

Flu vaccinations for all staff are organised a few months before winter hits.

Annual Volunteer Day

All Pepper employees are provided with one day each year to volunteer within the community by assisting a charity of their choice.

Pepper is aligned to Charity Youth Group Oasis and conduct a number of fundraising activities throughout the year to raise money for donations.
