Pepper opens Parramatta Mortgage Servicing Centre
Wednesday, 1 Feb 2012
Specialist mortgage lender, Pepper Australia, has opened a mortgage servicing centre in Parramatta. The state of the art facility will house an 80 strong team, as well as providing an employee training and development facility for the expanding national organisation.
The custom designed mortgage servicing centre was established to support the Pepper team in the maintenance and servicing of its $5.0 billion prime residential home loan book, which Pepper acquired from GE Capital in August 2011. A large number of former GE staff have joined Pepper and will further contribute to Pepper’s ongoing commitment to provide industry leading customer service to its home loan customers.
Patrick Tuttle, Pepper’s Chief Executive Officer said, “The opening of our mortgage servicing centre in Parramatta is an important milestone for Pepper and is testament to the hard work of the team as we continue to identify more opportunities for growth across the financial services industry.
“Western Sydney is a significant catchment area for Pepper and with a significantly larger team, Pepper is now ideally placed to consolidate its position as the lender of choice to brokers across the country.”
Following the acquisition of the GE Capital loan book, Pepper is now one of Australia’s largest non-bank lenders. In December 2011, rating agency Standard & Poor’s upgraded Pepper’s overall ranking as an Australian residential loan servicer from “Above Average” to “Strong”, further acknowledging the Company’s expertise and experience as a leading servicer of residential home loans.
